Our Netflix
movies page is the most comprehensive page on the internet when it
comes to information about all original movies and series being released (and
already released) on Netflix. Considered the final film released during the
1990s Disney Renaissance (which, in our opinion, does a disservice to two of
the best Disney animated films, Lilo and Stitch and The
Emperor's New Groove, but we digress), Tarzan is perhaps best known
for its Phil Collins soundtrack and the excellent adaptation of the original
source material, which uses both traditional animation and CGI backdrops to
make a unique-looking film, complete with everything you would want in an
adaptation.
Inherent
Vice is a fantastic film but one you may want to watch twice to figure out just
what is going on. Director PT Anderson - this is his best movie - tries
to make sense of Thomas Pynchon's opaque novel, about a stoner detective trying
to figure out the disappearance of his ex-lover's lover.
In fact, it
isn't even the story Netflix presents it to be. Focused on the unsolved 1969
murder of nun and school teacher Cathy Cesnik, this story transcends that of a
single person and stands as a haunting expose into the failings of not only the
criminal justice system, but of society.
