As snowstorms beat beyond the country this week, it reminds us that there is
nothing better than staying warm and watching some Netflix. Netflix Canada has a few recent movies/TV
shows.
Speaking of
rainy spring days, one of the more interesting shows coming to Netflix is the
Danish dystopian series The Rain, which follows two siblings as they fight for
survival after a toxic virus spread by rainwater kills off most of the
population (stay dry, stay alive”).
A superb
'80s-tinged soundtrack backs this fantastic film that plays on the notions of
teen sex and angst by throwing in an STD that when transmitted passes a curse
on. The movies manages to be filled to the brim with dread, even if the premise
of the movie isn't really explained, and is a superb throwback to zombie movies
of old, as well as the foreboding Invasion of the Body Snatcher flicks.
From I
Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore to Imperial Dreams, they're all
here for the Ranker community to vote on. If there's a Netflix
original movie that you don't see, feel free to add it to the
list, but make sure that it's currently streaming on Netflix.
Frank
Capra's Christmas fantasy was the movie that coaxed a war-battered James Stewart
back to acting, and a good thing, too,,,,For more information, please visit our
